TaoBaoRing review by a TaoBao addict (I buy 99% of my stuffs from Taobao): Is TaoBaoRing (taobaoring.com) a good, reliable and cheap TaoBao agent to use? TaoBaoRing is a worldwide English Taobao agent that helps English-speakers around the world to buy things from TaoBao with ease. I browsed through their website checking out their charges and services. Their landing page has a very clean and clear design with a quick introduction and explanation on why you should use them. There are many recent shipping orders and user feedback shown on the left hand sidebar. Before I take a look in more detail, I think it is so far the most organized TaoBao agent that I have ever reviewed. TaoBaoRing offers only one type of agent services: “Buy for you”. They will buy the TaoBao item on behalf of you and takes all the responsibility of arranging the desired items. If you have already found the items you want to buy on Taobao.com, you just need to go in to their quick order page and paste the TaoBao item link in the box. They do not sell any items on their site but they have a TaoBao weekly hot items section for you to choose from. In addition, I checked the website traffic. I found that TaoBaoRing is not yet a popular TaoBao agent, with moderate traffic of approximately over 30000 visitors monthly. The most significant portion of the traffic comes from USA (53.8%). Although their traffic is less than Bhiner, I would consider it if I am staying in the USA.
How to use TaoBaoRing? Check out their step-by-step tutorial on its website. One thing I like TaoBaoRing is their user feedback section. The section currently has a total record of 224 pages of 3354 user feedbacks. I saw there are many good feedback from users living in Philippines, France, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Australia, Russian Federation, Finland, Canada, Belgium, Czech Republic, Singapore, Estonia etc. Many praised their customer service staffs are friendly, polite and patient. You can read more on its website. They also send you photos before sending the items to you.
TaoBaoRing accept payment in US dollar (USD), Chinese Yuan Renminbi (RMB), British Pound (GBP), and Hong Kong dollar (HKD). Their exchange rate is: 1) CNY 1 = USD 0.167 2) CNY 1 = HKD 1.3 3) CNY 1 = GBP 0.12. Two payments are required separately. You first payment will be item cost + domestic shipping fee + 8% agent fee of the total of items cost and domestic shipping fee (within China). The minimum agent fee is RMB 30. Second payment will be only international shipping fee (to destination) based on weight or size depends on what methods of shipment you use and where you have your parcels sent. Payment can be made via TaobaoRing Coin, PayPal, Western Union, MoneyGram, WebMoney, and Bank Transfer. If you use PayPal, they will charge you a transaction fee of 4.4% + 0.3 USD. To avoid the transaction fee, you have no choice but to go for the other options. You can transfer funds to your coin account and use the balance to pay them. It is stating on its website that using coin account to pay them is the best way to save money but beware of that. I do not like the idea of transferring money into these TaoBao agent accounts.
TaoBaoRing Shipping Fee and Service Fee
TaoBaoRing provides a few shipping method to choose from – Chinese EMS, Singapore Airmail, Chinese Air, SeaShip, Surface Air Lifted, HK DHL, Aramex, and SF (ShunFeng). TaoBaoRing does not have any membership program. The only discount you get is the 45% discount off standard EMS rates to all countries if your parcels weigh more than 5kg.
TaoBaoRing Review Conclusion
After reviewing TaoBaoRing, SGshop, MisterTao, YoyBuy and Bhiner, I like TaoBaoRing website the most. I checked the shipping rate for my country, it is expensive. The rate is higher than using the TaoBao consolidate shipping. However, if you are staying in the USA or Europe or places that TaoBao does not have shipping options for you, you can give it a try. Shipping fee to those countries from China is usually high. 8% agent fee is high but so far, it is the standard that a good TaoBao agent will charge. I do not find any bad reviews about them on the net. I think they are trustworthy plus reviews from real buyers said that their staffs are good. Willing to communicate plus willing to solve problem are the qualities that an online business staffs should have. If you know any reliable TaoBao agent, please leave me a comment below.
