65daigou Review: Is 65DaiGou a Good TaoBao Agent?

65daigou review by a TaoBao addict (I buy 99% of my stuffs from Taobao): Is 65daigou (65daigou.com) a good, reliable and cheap TaoBao agent to use? 65daigou is one of the most popular TaoBao agents worldwide. The company was founded in 2009 in Singapore. The company name changed in 2010 (from 65daigou) to EzBuy. 65daigou is a TaoBao agent for people living in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia and Thailand. One thing I dislike about 65daigou is their website. No matter where you click on the landing page, another page will pop out and lead to you ezbuy.com. It is quite annoying. I wonder why they change the name. I feel like I am walking in a Louis Vuitton store and they tell me Louis Vuitton brand name has changed. 65daigou is a good name. “代购 (daigou)” in Chinese means “Buy On Your Behalf”. They make things complicated. As a user, I prefer a clean and clear website. There are too many things on their website and they provide too many services. It takes time to digest. Consider SGshop, if you like a simpler agent website.

Here are a few things that you may want to know before shopping through 65daigou. As they have separate sites for each country, make sure you register your account on your respective country page: Singapore (ezbuy.sg), Malaysia (ezbuy.my), Indonesia (id.ezbuy.com), Australia (au.ezbuy.com) and Thailand (th.ezbuy.com).

65daigou Shipping Fee

There are two payments to be made. First payment will be Product Payment = Product price + Domestic shipping fee. Second payment will be Parcel Payment = International Shipping Fee + Agent Fee + Home Delivery (optional) + Insurance (optional). International Shipping Fee will be calculated by the actual weight or the dimensional weight. Learn how to calculate the shipping fee here: TaoBao International Shipping Cost. The shipping rate depends on where you are shipping the item and the shipping method you use. Check them out before you make your order.

65daigou Agent Fee

65daigou Agent Fee = (Product Price + Domestic shipping fee + International Shipping Fee)*8% / 6% / 4% depending on your membership level: MEMBER/ VIP/ SVIP. Sometimes they offer Free Agent Fee for certain countries. Keep an eye on their website or subscribe to their newsletters and find out about their latest special offers. Make sure you do not miss the opportunity.

65daigou Warehouse

They have two warehouses. One at Shanghai and another one at Guangzhou. You can choose the one nearer to the sellers for your purchase and save some waiting time. If Guangzhou warehouse is busy (especially during TaoBao 1111 sale) or when the weather is bad, you can send your packages to Shanghai to avoid any delay. I have covered this in TaoBao China Delivery Service Alert.

65daigou Review Conclusion

As I said in the beginning, using two names for one company is confusing. Their shipping rate is reasonable. Agent fee 8% is high as compared to other TaoBao agents. I found some of them charged only 5%. However, those agents may have a higher shipping rate. If you can become a SVIP member, the agent fee is 4% only. Wait! To get the membership, you need to purchase more a certain amount within 3 months. Sounds like a trap. I do not like this type of membership. You will end up spending more than you wanted to. They do not ship items that are prohibited or require special handling due to exporting country, importing country or items which may cause danger, damage or delay of international shipping. If you want to buy those things, you need to look for another TaoBao agent.

If you buy directly from TaoBao you can ask the seller for a refund or half refund if you cannot send back the item.
